Oct 20 V7N - On Saturday, Israel launched airstrikes on Hezbollah arms facilities in southern Beirut following rocket and drone attacks by the Lebanese armed group. One of the drones was reportedly aimed at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's holiday home, although he was not present at the time. Netanyahu condemned the incident as an assassination attempt by "Iran's proxy Hezbollah."

The strikes on Hezbollah occurred amidst ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. Israeli bombardments killed over 100 people in Gaza, and the siege around three hospitals tightened as Israel continued its military operations.

Both Hamas and Hezbollah have pledged to continue fighting, dimming hopes for truces in Gaza and Lebanon following the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, who was killed by Israeli forces earlier in the week.

The situation has also led to heightened tensions along Israel's northern border, with Hezbollah launching around 200 projectiles on Saturday. Israel has been targeting Hezbollah's military infrastructure and leaders in southern Lebanon, and the conflict shows no signs of de-escalation despite diplomatic efforts.
