Oct 27, V7N- Iran downplayed the damage caused by Israel’s recent airstrikes on missile facilities and radar systems near Tehran, which were carried out in response to Iran's missile attack on October 1. Claiming the impact was minimal, Iran reaffirmed its commitment to regional peace but insisted on its right to self-defense. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris called for restraint, with Biden expressing hope that the strikes marked “the end” of escalations.

Israel’s strikes targeted missile production sites, steering clear of Iran’s energy and nuclear facilities, reportedly in line with U.S. recommendations. While Israel notified Washington ahead of the strikes, the U.S. was not directly involved. Iran’s foreign ministry condemned the attack but issued a comparatively measured response, unlike previous escalations. Meanwhile, regional concerns intensified as Israeli jets reportedly avoided neighboring Arab airspace.

The conflict has also affected Lebanon, where Hezbollah warned residents in northern Israel to evacuate due to military buildup. Israel, in turn, launched strikes on Hezbollah positions in Beirut and Syria, adding to the rising tensions across several fronts.
