The Pentagon has reiterated that the United States has no intentions of sending troops to Ukraine, nor will it engage in any military involvement for civilian purposes. This statement was issued by Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder on Tuesday (February 27), as reported by Barron's News.

Ryder emphasized that while the US will not deploy troops to fight in Ukraine, it remains committed to providing military assistance to Kiev. He clarified that the stance of the US President is unequivocal and will not change. Instead, the US will continue to support Ukraine and collaborate with allies to ensure the provision of essential military equipment.

The remarks from the Pentagon come in the wake of French President Emmanuel Macron's proposal to send troops to Ukraine, a move that has raised discussions within NATO member states. However, Ryder affirmed that the US position remains unchanged despite Macron's proposal.

Furthermore, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz acknowledged ongoing discussions within the Pentagon regarding aid provision to Ukraine. While discussions about future steps are underway, Scholz emphasized that no European country or NATO member will deploy ground forces to Ukrainian territory.
