Damascus, Mar 14 (V7N) – Israel has launched airstrikes in the Syrian capital, Damascus, claiming to have targeted a building associated with the Palestinian group Islamic Jihad, according to Reuters.

The airstrikes, carried out on Thursday night, struck a residential area, leading to the complete destruction of several buildings and damaging multiple parked cars. While no fatalities have been reported, several individuals sustained injuries.

This latest attack follows a series of Israeli airstrikes in Syria, with 17 strikes reported in Daraa province earlier on Monday.

Since the fall of Bashar al-Assad's government last December, Israel has intensified its attacks, destroying several installations belonging to the Syrian military.
