In a recent overnight operation in southern Ukraine, Russia asserts that it successfully neutralized 47 drones, as reported through social media on Saturday. According to information from Indian media outlet NDTV, the Russian military disclosed that a majority of the drones were eliminated in the Rostov region, situated along the border with Ukraine.

The operation also saw the destruction of one drone in the Belgorod region, two in the Kursk region, three in the Volgograd region, and a significant 41 drones in the Rostov region, as per reports from Russian military sources.

Despite the intensity of the operation, Rostov Governor Vasiliy Golubev assured that there were no casualties resulting from the attacks.

In a related development, it was reported that Ukrainian troops allegedly targeted an air base in Taganrog, with intentions to conduct drone attacks. However, further details regarding the outcome of this alleged incident remain undisclosed at present.
