Mecca, Jun 09 (V7N) — The sacred Hajj rituals concluded on Sunday with the Farewell Tawaf (Tawaf al-Bida) at the Grand Mosque in Mecca. Pilgrims gathered at the Holy Mosque to circumambulate the Kaaba seven times as part of the final rites.

On the last day of Hajj, pilgrims also performed the ‘Sa’i,’ the ritual running between the hills of Safa and Marwa, reaffirming the historic journey of Hagar, the wife of Prophet Ibrahim (AS).

The return flights for the pilgrims are scheduled to begin tomorrow.

The main Hajj rituals were completed last Thursday (June 5) at the Plain of Arafat. Pilgrims then traveled to Muzdalifah to spend the night, followed by returning to Mina on Friday morning to perform the symbolic stoning of the devil. Afterward, they sacrificed animals and shaved their heads, signifying purification and renewal.

This year, over 1.5 million pilgrims from around the world took part in the holy pilgrimage, marking a significant gathering of faith and devotion.
