Washington, July 19, (V7N) – Former US President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to the BRICS economic alliance, saying it will collapse if it attempts to grow too powerful. Trump also threatened to impose a 10 percent tariff on member countries, including India.

Speaking critically of BRICS, Trump accused the group of adopting various "anti-American" measures. He claimed that the alliance, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, is fragile and on the verge of disintegration.

“There is a small alliance called BRICS, which is on the verge of collapsing very quickly,” Trump said. “In their meetings, practically no one shows up. This alliance is afraid of US tariffs. If it tries to become too strong, it will collapse very quickly.”

Trump further stated that the United States will never endorse any other country’s official digital currency, signaling strong opposition to potential financial innovations coming from the BRICS bloc.
