The capital of Ukraine, Kiev, was rocked by a Russian missile attack early Thursday morning, leaving eight people injured and causing damage to residential buildings and industrial establishments. Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko confirmed the attack on the Telegram messaging app, stating that Ukraine's air defense units are actively repelling the Russian assault. He noted that missile debris could be seen scattered across various parts of the city.

"Eight people have already been injured in the enemy's attack," Mayor Klitschko stated, adding that debris from a downed Russian missile struck several residential buildings, industrial facilities, and a kindergarten in Kiev.
