The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced an expansion of its visa policy, granting citizens from 87 countries the convenience of obtaining visas upon arrival. This significant update aims to bolster the country's tourism industry and attract visitors from around the globe. Notably, this extension builds upon a similar initiative in 2022, which provided visa-on-arrival privileges to citizens of 73 countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE emphasized that the expansion of the visa policy reflects the country's commitment to furthering its tourism sector. Among the countries eligible for visa on arrival are Albania, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Russia, United Kingdom, United States, and many others.
However, it's noteworthy that despite a substantial population of workers from Bangladesh, Pakistan, and India residing in the UAE, citizens of these countries are not included in the expanded visa-on-arrival list.
Foreign nationals interested in visiting the UAE can access the list of eligible countries and the visa application process through the official website of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (https://www.visitdubai.com/en/plan-your-trip/visa-information). This streamlined process aims to facilitate smoother entry for travelers and enhance the overall visitor experience in the UAE.
