Washington, Jan 15 (V7N) — US President Donald Trump has claimed that the killing of anti-government protesters in Iran has stopped and that no executions will be carried out, according to a report by Al Jazeera.

Responding to questions from reporters on Wednesday, Trump said he had received assurances from “important sources inside Iran” that protesters would not be executed. He added that the situation is being closely monitored.

However, the US president did not completely rule out the possibility of military action against Iran. He said Washington’s response would depend on how the situation develops, indicating that “all options remain on the table.”

Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also stated that Tehran has no plans to hang protesters, seeking to ease growing international concern.

Earlier, fears of a possible US military strike had intensified amid Iran’s ongoing anti-government protests. Reuters, citing relevant sources, reported that the United States could launch an attack on Iran within 24 hours, heightening tensions in the region.

The situation remains fluid as diplomatic warnings, protest developments, and military signals continue to draw global attention.
