Today, as many Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia and Palestine, celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, the joyous occasion is overshadowed by the ongoing violence perpetrated by Israeli forces in Gaza.

Despite the festive atmosphere in other parts of the region, Palestinians in Gaza are unable to rejoice as Israeli airstrikes continue to wreak havoc, claiming the lives of at least 25 innocent civilians, including women and children.

The Nuseirat camp area of Gaza and Deir al-Balah bore the brunt of the brutal attacks, with residential areas targeted, resulting in a devastating loss of life. As families gathered to celebrate Eid, they were met with tragedy and despair as their homes were destroyed and loved ones lost.

Amidst the chaos and destruction, over a thousand Palestinians defiantly gathered to offer Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque. However, the occupying Israeli forces imposed strict restrictions, barring individuals under the age of 60 from entering the mosque.

Undeterred by the obstacles, many Palestinians turned to the rubble of destroyed mosques in their respective areas to perform Eid prayers, symbolizing resilience and determination in the face of adversity.

As the Muslim community worldwide celebrates Eid-ul-Fitr, the plight of Palestinians serves as a stark reminder of the urgent need for peace and justice in the region. The international community must condemn the violence and work towards a lasting solution that respects the rights and dignity of all people, regardless of their faith or ethnicity.
