In a significant escalation of tensions, the Bahraini resistance group Al-Ashtar Brigades (AAB) has joined the anti-Israel movement, expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza. In a statement released on Thursday night, the AAB announced its first-ever attack on the southern port of Eilat in Israel.

The attack, carried out using a drone on April 27, targeted the headquarters of 'Trucknet,' a company responsible for transporting goods from the Eilat seaport to various parts of Israel. This move marks a significant shift in the dynamics of the conflict, with the AAB previously refraining from direct involvement.

The statement emphasized that the attack was a show of support for the Palestinians who have been enduring Israeli aggression since October 7 of the previous year. It further warned that the AAB would continue its anti-Israel campaign until the atrocities against Gaza cease.

This development comes amid mounting international condemnation of Israel's actions in Gaza, with various resistance movements across the Middle East rallying in solidarity. Since the beginning of the Israeli offensive, resistance groups in Yemen, Iraq, and Lebanon have been vocal in their opposition to the violence.

Bahrain, in a move echoing regional sentiment, suspended economic relations with Israel last November in protest of the ongoing aggression in Gaza. The country's parliament cited support for the Palestinians' just rights as the motivation behind the decision.

The AAB's decision to join the anti-Israel movement underscores the growing frustration and anger across the Middle East regarding the situation in Gaza. With tensions escalating and resistance movements uniting, the region faces heightened uncertainty and the potential for further conflict.
