Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has reiterated that individuals entering the country with an Umrah visa are strictly prohibited from participating in the Holy Hajj using that visa. This directive, issued via a strong statement on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), emphasizes the importance of adhering to visa regulations. Those on Umrah visas are also required to leave Makkah before their visas expire, as reported by Gulf News.

The Ministry of Interior has further announced that from June 2 to June 20, anyone found without a Hajj visa in the vicinity of Mecca will face a fine of 10,000 Saudi Riyals. This regulation extends to critical locations such as Mina, Arafat Maidan, Muzdalifa, and the Rusaifa Haramain train station, in addition to Makkah.

In cases where individuals repeatedly violate this directive, the penalties become significantly more severe. Offenders will face a fine of 100,000 Saudi Riyals and a ban from entering Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, those in the transport sector who violate these rules will be subject to a 50,000 Riyal fine and a six-month jail term, with the potential for their vehicles to be impounded.

These stringent measures are part of Saudi Arabia's efforts to regulate the influx of pilgrims and ensure the smooth conduct of Hajj. The authorities have underscored the importance of compliance with these rules to avoid legal repercussions and maintain order during the pilgrimage season.
