Delaware, Sep 22 (V7N) – A bilateral meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden included discussions on the situation in Bangladesh, as reported by the Indian Express, citing India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri. The meeting took place at Biden's personal residence in Wilmington, Delaware, on September 21.

During their talks, the two leaders covered a broad range of topics concerning India-US relations. Misri highlighted that the situation of minorities, particularly Hindus in Bangladesh, was a point of concern raised by Modi in their previous phone conversation last month.

The discussions on Bangladesh were also prominent during the recent Quad Leaders' summit hosted by Biden, which included participation from Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

In response to inquiries during a press briefing in New York, Misri noted that the discussions encompassed regional matters of bilateral interest that also hold broader significance. He confirmed that the situation in Bangladesh was part of the dialogue, with an exchange of perspectives on the issue.
