Habiganj Apr 18 (V7N) -  Four people were killed on the spot in a head-on collision between a truck and a pickup truck on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Habiganj Madhabpur.

Four unidentified persons, including two men and two women, were killed on the spot in a head-on collision between a Dhaka-bound truck numbered Chatra Metro T 11-6331 and a pick-up numbered Dhaka Metro No 19-8791 at Bakhrnakhar in Madhabpur Upazila on Friday night, April 18, at around 2 am. Five seriously injured persons have been sent to Habiganj Sadar Hospital in critical condition.

Madhabpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdullah Al Mamun said that there were an estimated 16/17 passengers in the pickup truck along with household goods. The truck and pickup are in the custody of the Highway Police. The body has been recovered and kept at Habiganj Sadar Hospital. The police are working to identify the deceased.
