Natore, July 02 (V7N)- A mentally challenged individual named Rafiqul Hossain was killed after being run over by a freight train in Madhnagar, Naldanga Upazila, Natore. The accident occurred around 6 am on Tuesday near Madhnagar Railway Station when he was struck by a Dinajpur-bound freight train.
 
The deceased, Rafiqul Hossain (40), was the son of Jamal Hossain from Bhatrpara village in Madhnagar Union of the upazila.
 
According to Santahar Railway Police and local sources, the mentally challenged Rafiqul Hossain attempted to board the moving freight train heading from Khulna to Dinajpur around 6 am on Tuesday. He slipped and was run over by the moving train, resulting in his death. Madhnagar Railway Station Master Imdadul Haque confirmed the incident, stating that Rafiqul, who was mentally unstable, fell under the train while attempting to board it, leading to his immediate death. The matter has been reported to the Santahar Railway Police.
