Cox's Bazar, July 11 (V7N)- In the Patubunia area of South Muhuri Para, Jhilongja Union in Cox's Bazar, another bride has died due to a mountain collapse. A child has been seriously injured in the incident. This incident occurred in a separate mountain collapse incident in wards 6 and 7 of the city within a span of seven hours.
 
On Thursday (July 11) at around noon, the incident occurred in the Patubunia area of South Muhuri Para, Jhilongja Union.
 
The deceased bride's name is Layla Begum (35). She is the wife of Bozal Ahmed. Their 2-year-old son, Mohammad Junaid, has been seriously injured and admitted to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital.
 
The deceased bride's daughter, Yasmin Akhter, said, "My mother was cooking lunch with my brother when suddenly the mountain came crashing down on our kitchen. With the help of local residents, my mother and brother were rescued from under the mud. Later, my mother passed away. My brother has been admitted to the hospital."
 
Earlier, in a separate incident of mountain collapse at 7 am, 2 people died. In the densely populated area of Ward 06 of the city, Jamila Begum (30), wife of Mohammad Karim, died in a mountain collapse at their residence. Additionally, in the Sikdar Bazar area of Ward 07 of the city, Saiful's son, Mohammed Hasan (10), died when a mud wall collapsed.
