Dhaka, Sep 29 (V7N) — Chief Adviser of Bangladesh's interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, has returned to Dhaka following his participation in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York and a series of high-level bilateral meetings.

The aircraft carrying Dr. Yunus and his delegation touched down at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 3:30 PM on Saturday, according to his Press Secretary, Shafiqul Alam.

The Chief Adviser departed from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport on Friday at 9:30 PM local time on a Qatar Airways flight.

Shafiqul Alam described the trip as one of the most successful visits by a Bangladeshi head of government to the UNGA. During the visit, Dr. Yunus met with U.S. President Joe Biden, leaders of 12 nations, and various heads of international organizations. He also participated in 40 high-level meetings, addressing key economic and diplomatic issues on the sidelines of the assembly.

Dr. Yunus's activities and meetings during the visit are anticipated to significantly enhance Bangladesh's economic and diplomatic relations on the global stage.

The Chief Adviser arrived in New York on September 23 to attend the annual UN General Assembly session.
