Dhaka, Oct 02 (V7N) – A decision regarding the proposal to raise the age limit for entering government service to 35 years is expected within the next seven working days, according to Russel Mahmud, a coordinator for job seekers advocating for this change.

Russel shared this update with reporters following a meeting with the senior secretary of the Public Administration Ministry at the Secretariat on Wednesday. He stated, "A team has been formed to engage with us, and during our discussions, they expressed their commitment to providing a logical resolution within the next seven working days."

On Monday, job seekers held a demonstration in Ramna Park, demanding an increase in the entry age limit for public service to 35 years. The protest escalated into clashes with police when demonstrators attempted to march toward the residence of Interim Government Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus, resulting in a standoff with law enforcement.
