Dhaka, Oct 08 (V7N): Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain has stated that the government has been unable to confirm the current location of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Reports have suggested she may have traveled to the UAE after departing from Delhi, but no official confirmation has been obtained. Hossain noted that inquiries have been made in Delhi regarding her whereabouts, but they have yet to yield any conclusive information.
In response to rumors that Sheikh Hasina was sent to another country under pressure from the United States, the adviser suggested that such questions should be directed to the US.
Furthermore, he acknowledged that some Awami League leaders and members had been seen in India, and if a court orders their return for ongoing legal cases, steps will be taken to bring them back to Bangladesh.
