Dhaka, Oct 10 (V7N) — The interim government has established six key commissions tasked with overseeing various aspects of constitutional reform. These commissions, each led by a head and several members, have been formed to bring changes across critical areas such as the constitution, electoral system, police force, judiciary, anti-corruption mechanisms, and public administration.

A notification published in the government gazette on Wednesday detailed the benefits and facilities allocated to the heads and members of these commissions. According to the notification, each head of the reform commissions will enjoy the same status, salary, and benefits as a judge of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court. For commission members not employed by the government, an honorarium of Tk 10,000 will be provided per meeting, while those already working within the government will receive Tk 5,000 per meeting.

In a unique provision, the notification mentioned that any commission head or member wishing to serve without salary or decline the benefits could request approval from the Chief Adviser.
