Voting is a constitutional right, hence anybody attempting to prevent voters from casting their ballots will face resistance, according to M Khurshid Hossain, Director General (DG) of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).

Speaking during a press conference on Tuesday at the Khulna RAB-6 office, he stated that the elite force will work in tandem with other law enforcement agencies to ensure that voters are moved to voting places without incident.

He added that RAB will stay in the field to uphold law and order before, during, and after the election.


In addition, the RAB DG stated that the organisation is keeping a careful eye on the situation to avoid any sabotage or violence during the election.
