Dhaka, Oct 22 (V7N) – Azerbaijan's Non-resident Ambassador to Bangladesh, Elchin Huseynli, met with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on Tuesday at the State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka to discuss a range of bilateral issues including trade, business cooperation, energy, and the upcoming COP29 summit.

During the meeting, Ambassador Huseynli emphasized the importance of strengthening trade relations between the two nations. He highlighted Baku's interest in exploring new opportunities to foster business cooperation and mentioned Azerbaijan's desire to sign an air services agreement with Bangladesh, following a foreign office consultation held in Baku in June.

Professor Yunus expressed gratitude, calling Azerbaijan "a good friend," and underscored the need for greater business and trade between the two countries. He also fondly recalled his longstanding connections with the Azerbaijani people, their leadership, and educational institutions.

The Chief Adviser is expected to attend the COP29 summit in Baku, where over 32,000 participants will gather to address pressing issues, with a particular focus on climate finance.
