Dhaka, Oct 30 (V7N) – The Directorate of Information (PID) has revoked the press accreditation cards of 20 prominent journalists and media personnel. The cancellation, effective immediately, was announced on Tuesday through a notice signed by Chief Information Officer Nizamul Kabir, with letters sent to all concerned parties.

The notification states that both permanent and temporary press accreditation cards were canceled in accordance with clauses 6.9, 6.10, 9.5, and 9.6 of the Press Accreditation Policy.

Among the notable journalists affected are:
- Zafar Wazed, former Director General of the Press Institute of Bangladesh
- Shaban Mahmud, former Press Minister in New Delhi
- Mozammel Haque, Chief Editor of Ekatar TV, along with Special Correspondent Farzana Rupa
- Farida Yasmin, Editor and Publisher of WomenNews24.com
- Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Editor of The Daily Observer
- Shyamal Dutta, Editor of Bhorer Kagoz
- Naeem Nizam, Editor of Bangladesh Protidin
- Subhas Chandra Singh Roy, Editor-in-Chief of ABNews24.com
- Syed Borhan Kabir, Freelance Journalist
- Munni Saha, News Editor-in-Chief of ATN News
- Naeemul Islam Khan, Editor-in-Chief of Our Time.com
- Faraji Ajmal, Special Correspondent of Dainik Bangla
