Dhaka, Oct 30 (V7N)- Protesters demanding an increase in the maximum age limit for government job entry to 35 gathered at Shahbagh on Wednesday, pressing the Ministry of Public Administration to adopt the recommendations of a commission formed to assess the age cut-off.

As planned, the protest began outside the National Museum, and later, following police intervention, the demonstrators shifted to the area near the flower shops by Shahbagh police station.

Abu Naeem, a protest leader, stated, "The Ministry of Public Administration had formed a commission to address our demand, which recommended setting the entry age at 35." However, he added, this recommendation was overlooked, and the age limit was instead set at 32.

"We reject this 32-year limit and call for an immediate adjustment to 35, along with an official notice to formalize this change," he demanded.
