Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that what is currently happening in Gaza is genocide. She emphasized that the Palestinian people have the right to live and have their state.

She said these things in an interview given to the news agency Anadolu Agency.

The Prime Minister is currently in Germany to attend the Munich Security Conference (MSC) 2024. She gave this interview there. 

The Prime Minister told Anadolu Agency, 'Bangladesh has always stood against genocide. I think what is happening in Gaza is genocide. We never support it.'

"The people of Gaza have the right to live," she said. What is happening is very tragic. So we should help them. As well as stopping this war.'

Noting that Bangladesh has sent aid to the people of the besieged Gaza Strip, Sheikh Hasina urged the world to support and help the 'affected children, women and people of Palestine'.

Asked about the planned Israeli operation in the southern Gaza town of Rafah, she said, "We never support such an attack."

Sheikh Hasina said, 'Palestinian people should have the right to their own state.' The Prime Minister emphasized that the UN proposals for a two-state solution should be implemented.
