Sylhet, Nov 26 (V7N)- Lieutenant General (Retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Home Affairs Advisor, has claimed that ISKCON’s recent activities across various parts of Bangladesh have been influenced by domestic and foreign entities aiming to destabilize the country.

Speaking to reporters after a meeting with administrative and departmental officials at Sylhet Circuit House on Tuesday evening, he said, "A particular group is working to create an unstable environment in the country, using movements like ISKCON’s as a tool."

He assured the public that, despite some lingering concerns, the overall law and order situation in the country has significantly improved compared to previous months. However, he acknowledged the challenge of recovering weapons that were stolen during recent incidents.

General Chowdhury emphasized that law enforcement authorities have been instructed to ensure no individual is subjected to false accusations or harassment during this time.

On the ongoing student protests, the advisor mentioned that dialogues are actively taking place among stakeholders, including teachers, students, and parents, expressing optimism about resolving the issues and restoring stability soon.

This statement highlights the government's efforts to address both social and political tensions while maintaining order nationwide.
