Dhaka, Dec 05 (V7N) – The European Union (EU) Ambassadors from the 27 EU member states, including 20 non-resident ambassadors, as well as the EU ambassador in Dhaka will meet Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus on Monday.
This will be the first time all EU envoys meet collectively with the Head of Government, Mohammad Rafiqul Alam, spokesperson of the foreign ministry told reporters on Thursday at the weekly briefing.
The meeting is expected to further strengthen the relationship between Bangladesh and the EU, he said.
Key topics of discussion include the overall review of bilateral relations, new areas of cooperation, GSP+ trade benefits after Bangladesh’s graduation from LDC status, addressing existential climate change challenges, the swift repatriation of Rohingyas, and the shared commitment to building a sustainable future, he said.
The chief adviser, earlier, announced the meeting while addressing the nation in November.
