Dhaka, Dec 10 (V7N) – The committee tasked with reviewing applications from government officers denied promotions during the previous regime has submitted its report to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus.

Led by Zakir Ahmed Khan, the committee presented its findings and recommendations to the chief adviser at the State Guest House Jamuna.

The five-member committee was established on September 16 under the Ministry of Public Administration, with former Finance Secretary Zakir Ahmed Khan serving as the convener. Its mandate was to review applications from both active and retired officers who were overlooked for promotions from 2009 to August 4, 2024.

Chief Adviser Prof. Yunus expressed his gratitude to the committee for completing its work ahead of the 90-day deadline.

Siraz Uddin Mia, Principal Secretary to the Chief Adviser, also attended the presentation.
