Dhaka, Jan 07, (V7N) - Information and Broadcasting Adviser Nahid Islam has announced government support for producing a documentary on the July Uprising, highlighting the importance of preserving its historical legacy.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of a training course on Content Creation, Screenplay, and Visual Production Techniques at the National Media Institute of Bangladesh, Adviser Nahid Islam stressed the need for safeguarding the video footage of the uprising. "It is our collective responsibility to preserve the history of this uprising. We must channel the spirit of the July Uprising into our creative work," the Adviser said.

Describing the uprising as both a tale of oppression under a fascist ruler and a testament to the bravery of students and the public, Nahid Islam emphasized the importance of showcasing the courage displayed during the historical event.

The Adviser commended the efforts of the trainees and course administrators for their contributions to video content on the July Uprising. He encouraged the trainees to apply their newly acquired skills to meaningful projects that reflect the spirit of the uprising.

The event was chaired by the Director General of the National Media Institute, Suhfi Zakir Hossain. Other speakers included the Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Mahbuba Farzana; Course Director Dr. Md. Maruf Nawaz; and Md. Al Amin Rakib Tonoy, Convener of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry's Search Committee.

At the ceremony's conclusion, Adviser Nahid Islam distributed certificates to the trainees, urging them to utilize their training to produce impactful visual content.
