Nahid Islam pays tribute to unidentified July protest martyrs

Dhaka, Jan 25 (V7N) —Nahid Islam, adviser to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, on Saturday, paid tributes to the unidentified martyrs of the July uprising.

Adviser Nahid Islam arrived at the Rayerbazar Cemetery in Dhaka, spoke with the families of the martyrs, and inquired about their well-being.


Nahid Islam said: "The debt to the martyrs can never be repaid. They have gifted us a nation free from tyranny. We will forever honour their memory."

Recalling the contributions of the martyrs, the adviser said: "The current interim government will always stand by the families of the martyrs. Efforts are ongoing to identify the unknown martyrs buried at Rayerbazar Cemetery."

Regarding financial support for the families of the martyrs, the adviser said: "The initiative to provide financial assistance to the families of the martyrs will commence at the beginning of next month."
