Dhaka, Mar 09 (V7N) – Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has urged citizens to directly inform him if they face difficulties receiving assistance from the police. He made this appeal during a press conference at the Secretariat on Sunday.

Addressing concerns about the banned organization Hizb ut Tahrir, Jahangir Alam assured that no such group would be allowed to operate. “No banned organization will be able to carry out any kind of activities,” he stated firmly.

He also reiterated the government’s zero-tolerance stance against rape, pledging that all perpetrators would be brought to justice without exception.

To curb crimes such as extortion and robbery during the holy month of Ramadan, he announced that the government would take strict preventive measures.

His statements come amid growing public concerns over law enforcement efficiency and the activities of extremist groups, reinforcing the government’s commitment to maintaining law and order.
