Dhaka, Mar 16 (V7N) – Shafiqul Alam, the press secretary of Bangladesh's Chief Advisor, announced that the upcoming visit to China will mark a significant step towards enhancing the bilateral relations between the two nations. During a press conference at the Foreign Service Academy on Sunday (March 16), Alam highlighted that key discussions will revolve around investment, manufacturing growth, and collaboration in various sectors.
The Chief Advisor’s visit to China, scheduled for March 26 to March 29, will include high-level meetings, including one with Chinese President Xi Jinping on March 28. According to Alam, the focus of the visit will be on boosting Chinese investment in Bangladesh, particularly in the establishment of factories and industrial ventures.
He further emphasized that the interim government is aiming to bring about a manufacturing revolution in Bangladesh, and China's role is crucial in this transformation. The visit will also include discussions with CEOs of major Chinese organizations, with the goal of accelerating the process of investment inflow and factory establishment.
As part of the visit, Bangladesh will explore opportunities for collaboration with China in healthcare, with plans to invite Chinese companies to Bangladesh to explore new business avenues in this sector. The Chief Advisor will also be accompanied by prominent figures, including Dr. Muhammad Yunus, who will deliver a speech at Peking University.
This trip marks the first state visit by the Chief Advisor as the head of Bangladesh's interim government, and it is seen as an important step towards strengthening the strategic partnership between Bangladesh and China.
