Dhaka, Mar 26 (V7N) – Chief Advisor of the Interim Government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, has left Dhaka for China on a four-day official visit at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Dr. Yunus departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 1 PM on Wednesday (March 26) following a meeting with the Chinese ambassador in Dhaka.
In his address to the nation on Tuesday, the Chief Advisor emphasized that this visit would further strengthen bilateral cooperation and elevate relations between Bangladesh and China to a new level.
According to a briefing by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Yunus will participate in the Penning Plenary of the Annual Conference of the Boao Forum for Asia in Hainan Province, China, on March 27.
While no agreements are expected to be signed during the visit, sources indicate that several memorandums of understanding (MoUs) may be signed to enhance future cooperation between the two nations.
This visit marks a significant step in Bangladesh’s diplomatic and economic engagement with China, focusing on investment, trade, and infrastructure development.
