Dhaka, Mar 30 (V7N) – Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman paid a courtesy call on the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, at the State Guest House, Jamuna, on Sunday. The meeting focused on key matters related to national security and the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.
During the meeting, General Waqar-uz-Zaman briefed the Chief Advisor about the steps taken by the Army to ensure the overall security of the country during Eid. He also updated Dr. Yunus on the ongoing activities of the Army, including Iftar and Doa Mahfil events being organized at all cantonments in remembrance of those injured in the mass uprising, along with the financial support provided by the Army to the families of the deceased and injured.
Dr. Yunus praised the role and professionalism of the Army and acknowledged their dedication to safeguarding the country's sovereignty and security. He offered necessary directions to the Army regarding future activities, reinforcing the importance of maintaining high standards of professionalism and commitment.
The meeting highlighted the Army's readiness to continue performing its duties in the service of the nation's security and public well-being.
