The disciplinary committee of Jagannath University (JnU) has permanently revoked the hall seat of Tasmim Sanjana Srishti, a student of the 12th batch of the music department, after her involvement in assaulting another female student was confirmed.

Professor Dr. Deepika Rani Sarkar, the hall provost, stated that Tasmim Sanjana Srishti has been instructed to vacate the hall immediately. She further elaborated, saying, "The matter was thoroughly investigated by the disciplinary committee, and upon discovering the truth of the incident, the decision to cancel the accused student's hall seat was made. An official notification will be issued to her next Sunday."

Nipa Deb Nath, the house tutor responsible for the eleventh-floor hall, added, "Upon receiving a written complaint on Thursday, the matter was deliberated upon by the disciplinary committee. Following the discussion, the decision to revoke the student's hall seat was reached, and it was communicated to her verbally."
