Dhaka, Apr 21 (V7N)- A three-member delegation of the Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis, led by the party's Senior Nayeb Ameer Maulana Yusuf Ashraf, met with the National Consensus Commission (NCC) on Monday (April 21) at 10 AM at the LD Bhaban of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
The meeting was attended by NCC Vice President Professor Ali Riaz and the heads of various reform commissions.
At the outset, Professor Ali Riaz spoke to reporters, emphasizing that the primary objective of the commission is to prevent the resurgence of fascism in the country. “Our goal is to ensure that fascist elements do not return under any form or banner,” he stated.
He also thanked the Khilafat Majlis delegation for presenting important opinions and constructive suggestions to the commission during the meeting.
Further details of the discussion were not disclosed to the media, but sources indicate that issues relating to electoral reforms, democratic rights, and the role of Islamic political parties in shaping the nation’s democratic future were among the topics discussed.
