According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, a mild heat wave is currently affecting Chittagong, Rangamati, and Cox’s Bazar districts, and this condition is expected to persist. The Met office issued a bulletin stating that rain or thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, are likely in one or two places in the Khulna division within the next 24 hours starting from 9 am on Sunday. Additionally, the bulletin mentioned that both day and night temperatures may experience a slight rise across the country during this period.

Over the next three days, the weather is expected to remain predominantly dry, with occasional partly cloudy skies observed in other parts of the country. The bulletin further forecasts rain or thunder showers, along with temporary gusty winds, in certain areas of Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal divisions, as well as the regions of Noakhali and Comilla.

On Saturday, Cox’s Bazar recorded the country’s highest temperature at 37.1 degrees Celsius.
