Dhaka, Aug 28 (V7N) – Energy and Mineral Affairs Advisor Muhammad Fauzul Kabir Khan said the government is committed to resolving the issues raised by BSC and Diploma engineers impartially. He spoke to reporters at the Secretariat on Thursday afternoon.
The advisor emphasized that the government has taken the demands seriously and called for patience. “There is no point in protesting now. We have to give it time. On one side there are three points, on the other seven points. The committee will work as a bridge between them,” he said, adding that accepting only one group’s demands could create dissatisfaction among the other.
He also announced the formation of a 14-member working group, comprising government officials and representatives of educational institutions related to engineering. Protesters will have the opportunity to present their demands directly to this group.
The working group will hold meetings with the agitating students, representatives of BSC and Diploma engineers, and related ministries to find a fair resolution.
