In an effort to facilitate smooth travel for passengers during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, all road construction activities will be temporarily halted. The decision was announced during a meeting held at the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority headquarters on Thursday morning to ensure hassle-free and safe travel for the public.

During the meeting, ABM Amin Ullah Nuri, Secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Division, stated that to maintain normal traffic flow, construction work on all roads would cease during the Eid vacation period. Additionally, it was emphasized that construction materials must be promptly removed from the roads to avoid any disruptions. The suspension of road construction activities will commence seven days prior to Eid and continue for three days after the holiday. This temporary halt aims to minimize congestion and ensure unimpeded travel for commuters during the festive season.
