Chattogram, Sep 23 (V7N) – The government is making maximum efforts to ensure that this year’s Sharadiya Durga Puja is celebrated smoothly and peacefully, said Religious Affairs Advisor A. F. M. Khalid Hossain.

After visiting the Golpahar Kalibari Temple in Chattogram on Tuesday morning, the advisor told journalists that although some unwanted and isolated incidents occur during Puja every year, the government is determined to prevent any such disruptions this time.

“Everyone should remain vigilant so that no one can create any kind of incident,” he said, urging all communities to cooperate in maintaining peace.

On the occasion, Khalid Hossain also announced a donation of Tk 5 crore to various temples and Puja celebration councils across the country.
