Dhaka, Sep 27 (V7N) – Election Commissioner Abul Fazal Md. Sanaullah has assured that the Election Commission (EC) will not issue any biased instructions and that the upcoming national elections will be conducted fairly in accordance with the law.

He made the remarks to reporters at the Election Commission Building on Saturday (Sept 27) afternoon.

Sanaullah said that one of the causes of the July coup in Bangladesh was the collapse of the electoral system. “We must break the tradition of farce in the name of elections,” he added, emphasizing the need to raise awareness at the field level.

Meanwhile, EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed said that the upcoming national elections would be more challenging than any previous elections, highlighting the need to prevent misuse of artificial intelligence and to properly manage votes from expatriates as key areas of concern.
