Dhaka, Sep 27 (V7N) – Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin has stated that the Election Commission (EC) will not issue instructions to work in favor of any political party and will act impartially according to the law.

Speaking to reporters at the Election Commission Building on Saturday afternoon, the CEC said the commission is moving forward to hold February’s national elections amid visible and invisible challenges. “A historic election will be a gift to the nation. The Chief Adviser has full confidence in the commission, and we want to maintain that confidence,” he added.

Election Commissioner Md. Anwarul Islam said the commission’s backbone is strong, and it will operate with 100 percent professionalism to ensure a fair election.

EC Secretary Akhtar Ahmed noted that the upcoming national parliamentary elections will be more challenging than any previous polls, citing preventing misuse of artificial intelligence (AI) and managing votes from expatriates as key challenges.
