A devastating fire erupted at a clothing warehouse located in the Bhanga Press area of Demra, Dhaka, late Thursday night, triggering a massive emergency response effort.

According to officials, the blaze was first reported around midnight on Thursday, prompting the immediate dispatch of firefighting units from Demra, Postogola, and Siddik Bazar fire stations. As of 2:42 am on Friday, at least 10 units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence were actively engaged in efforts to contain the inferno.

Initial reports indicate that the fire service received the distress call at approximately 11:30 pm on Thursday, with the first unit arriving at the scene just 15 minutes later, by 11:45 pm.

Authorities have yet to determine the exact cause of the fire, with investigations ongoing. Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties resulting from the incident as of 3:43 am.
