Dhaka, Oct 08 (V7N) – Foreign Affairs Advisor Towhid Hossain has said that the relationship between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia is not only based on religious ties but also on a foundation of long-term friendship and mutual trust.

He made the remarks while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Saudi Arabia–Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry held at a hotel in the capital on Tuesday (October 7).

The advisor expressed optimism that the newly established chamber will open new avenues for trade and investment between the two nations. He invited Saudi investors to explore opportunities in ports, power, energy, and mega infrastructure projects, reaffirming the government’s commitment to ensuring a business- and investment-friendly environment.

Speaking as a special guest, BNP leader Dr. Abdul Moin Khan said,

“The birth of such an important chamber after 53 years of Bangladesh’s independence is a source of hope.”

More than a hundred representatives from the business and diplomatic communities of both countries, including a 20-member Saudi delegation, attended the inaugural ceremony.
