Dhaka, Oct 08 (V7N) – Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Advisor on Environment, Forest and Climate Change, has dismissed rumors suggesting that she intends to flee the country amid ongoing political and environmental turbulence.
Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat on Wednesday afternoon (October 8), Rizwana said, “I did not flee during any of the storms that hit the country in the past, nor will I leave in the future. NCP Convener Nahid Islam must clarify who is seeking a safe exit.”
The advisor reaffirmed her commitment to a transparent national election under the interim government, noting that the administration will extend maximum support to the Election Commission (EC) in ensuring fair polls.
Rizwana further stated that the participation of any political party in the upcoming election would depend on both legal parameters and political decisions.
The comments came in response to a recent television interview in which Nahid Islam claimed that several government advisors had allegedly established contacts with political parties and were considering safe exit plans amid the evolving political situation.
