Khulna, Nov 08 (V7N) — The Primary and Mass Education Advisor, Professor Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar, has said that assistant teachers in primary schools have no scope to move up from grade 13 to grade 10. He warned that strict action would be taken if teacher movements over unreasonable demands disrupt students’ education.
He made the remarks on Saturday morning (November 8) during a view-sharing meeting with primary school principals from Satkhira, Khulna, and Bagerhat districts, held at the Khulna Shilpakala Academy.
Dr. Poddar stated that it is not logical for primary assistant teachers to go on strike at this time, adding that the government is working to promote them to grade 11 instead.
During the meeting, teachers were also given guidance on moral education, practical learning, and co-education practices.
