Dhaka, Mar 10 (V7N) – Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Prannoy Verma paid a courtesy call on top officials of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs on Monday, aiming to further strengthen cultural relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, held in the capital, Verma met with Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury and Minister of State for Cultural Affairs Ali Newaz Mahmud Khayyam. The discussions focused on enhancing the long-standing ties between the people of India and Bangladesh, with an emphasis on deepening cultural engagement.

Both sides expressed their commitment to elevating bilateral relations through increased cultural cooperation and the exchange of experiences. They also highlighted the historical significance of the existing cultural bonds and stressed the importance of regular cultural exchange programs to promote mutual understanding and development.

Officials said they hope that the courtesy call will further strengthen friendly relations and cultural interaction between the two neighboring countries in the future.
