Dhaka, Jan 01 (V7N) – Professor Dr. Md. Sayedur Rahman has been reappointed as a special assistant to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the interim government, with the rank of Minister of State.
He had resigned from the post yesterday (December 31) after the completion of his service term, as part of the retirement process. Today, Thursday (January 1), the government issued a notification appointing him again to the same position.
Earlier, in a social media post on Wednesday morning, Professor Sayedur Rahman wrote, “Today is the last day of my service life. My resignation letter, submitted for release from special state duties for retirement, was accepted yesterday.”
Professor Sayedur Rahman, a former Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh Medical University, has been serving as a special assistant to the Health Ministry since November last year.
