Gazipur, Jan 12 (V7N) — Home Affairs Advisor Jahangir Alam announced on Monday that a total of 555,958 Ansar-VDP members will be deployed at all polling stations across the country for the 13th National Parliament Election.
The announcement was made during the closing parade of the Ansar and VDP Academy at the Yad Ali Parade Ground in Gazipur. Each of the 42,766 polling stations will have 13 members, including 3 armed, 6 unarmed male, and 4 unarmed female personnel.
As part of additional security measures, one of the three armed members at each polling station will remain on duty with the presiding officer round the clock throughout the election period. Moreover, 1,191 Ansar Battalion Striking Force Teams will be deployed nationwide to ensure law and order.
Advisor Jahangir Alam instructed the Ansar members to strictly avoid any immoral, biased, or irresponsible behavior that could affect the election process.
“Keep the history of the country, the sacrifices of the people, and the expectations of future generations in your hearts. Be accountable, protect the rule of law, stay away from corruption and bias, and dedicate yourselves fully to building a new Bangladesh,” he said.
Bangladesh Ansar and VDP Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud and other senior officials were present at the event.
